who is raychel deppe?

we build our own realities…and i follow the footprints that trail through my head. i’m a full-time photographer constantly exploring the limitlessness of creativity. inside i feel flutters of passion that launch me into each moment of life with all of my sense heightened. they constantly cross paths and i find myself drinking words, breathing light, tasting energy, feeling colors…i love the feeling orange!

creating imagery through the study of light is truly an amazing world to be in. most of the time the rest of the world doesn’t exist for me. i live in a bubble filled with ideas, visions, colors, lines, shapes, textures, expressions, and abstractions. i feel like a kitten most of the time, dancing about trying to catch these silly thoughts as they flutter past…trying to capture my world in photographs to make it more tangible to everyone around me. hoping to connect, or at least create the potential for a connection in the future.

i graduated from school, hallmark institute of photography in may 2005 (with several honors including the #1 commercial portfolio) and i have been working as a professional photographer ever since. my life and career has truly been blessed! i am currently living in austin, tx. i shoot a wide variety of subjects ranging from commercial to portraiture, things to people, including table top, food & beverage, product, still life, architecture, actors & headshots, dance & movement, physical fitness professionals. in life i am thoroughly interested in anything having to do with nutrition, health & fitness, capoeira, and learning…continually expanding my mind, body, and soul. i feel only i can limit myself, and if i believe and work hard enough anything is possible.

in this blog i hope to share some of my personal and client work, along with things that inspire me along my journey as an artist.
